(471)Auch heute, wenn die Rüstungstechnologie fortgeschritten ist, hat das Messer seinen Platz in der Rüstung. Die kampftaktische Messer werden von Armee, Polizei und Spezialeinheiten eingesetzt. Sie werden als Waffe des direkten Kontakts im Nahkampf, ein Messer zu Verdeidigung und für offensive Aktivitäten benutzt.
Die Militärmesser werden auch für andere Aktivitäten verwendet. Sie sollten in der Lage sein Draht und Plastikhandschellen zu schneiden, einen Ast zu schneiden und eine Dose zu öffnen. Daher ist die richtige Wahl wichtig, das taktische Taschenmesser sollte groß und stark genug sein, mit einem Gürtelclip und einem ergonomischen Griff ausgestattet werden. Die Geschichte hat gezeigt, dass ein bewährtes solides taktisches Messer Full Tang, das sich durch eine höhere Festigkeit auszeichnet, eine kombinierte Klinge zum besseren Schneiden verschiedeneer Materialien mit einer schwaren Oberfläche zur Vermeidung von Blendung aufweisein kann. Der Stahl sollte zäh sein und die Schärfe gut halten , aber gleichzeiting gut schleirbar sein. Der rutschfeste ergonomisch geformte Griff aus robstem Micarta, G10 oder Kohlefaser ermöglicht eie sichere Bedienung.
Die aus Kunststoff gemachte Messerscheide sollte man auf Gürtel, Oberschenkel oder taktische Weste befestigen können. Diese Kriterien werden von taktischen Messern Extrema Ratio, Cold Steel, Benchmade, Armeemessern Böker, Morakniv, Armeemesser Glock, Taktik- und Kampfmessern Ontario, Fox Knives erfüllt. Das richtig ausgewähltes Messer eignet sich gut für jede Aktivität und kann Leben retten.
